Medical disclaimer

The information on this site is general and educational. It is here to help you understand your oral health and know when it is worth seeing a dentist, but it is not a diagnosis, not a treatment recommendation, and no substitute for a consultation.

Every mouth is different. What is described here in general terms may not apply to your case, and only a clinical exam — with an examination and, where needed, X-rays — can tell you what you actually need.

Reading this site does not create a dentist-patient relationship. That relationship begins when we treat you in the office.

Do not avoid seeking professional care, or delay a visit, because of something you read here.

Emergencies

This site is not for emergencies. If you have severe pain, bleeding that will not stop, or swelling affecting your eye, neck or breathing, call 911 or go to an emergency room. That is no longer a dental problem.

Treatment results

The results of any dental treatment depend on the individual: the starting condition, how their body responds, and the care that follows. Nothing described on this site guarantees a particular outcome, and what worked for one patient may not work the same way for another.

Photographs

The photographs on this site were taken at our office and show our team and patients who authorized their publication. They are not stock photography or models, and they are not presented as treatment results or as before-and-after comparisons.

Services and availability

The services described are the ones we provide at our San Jose office. A treatment appearing on this list does not mean it is right for you — that is determined at the consultation.

Reviewing union dental benefits is a guidance service. Actual coverage depends on each union’s plan and each person’s current contract, and it is the plan, not us, that decides what is covered.

Accessibility

We want this site to be usable by anyone, including people browsing with a screen reader, by keyboard alone, or with enlarged text. We work against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
